It is a procedure for those patients with upper abdominal excess skin that cannot be successfully re-contoured or shaped with a traditional tummy tuck. It is most commonly seen in weight loss patients.
The technique involves an incision in the creases or inframammary folds (IMF) underneath the breasts. The scar is generally hidden underneath the breasts but is connected in the midline.
