Will an Areola Reduction Be Part of My Breast Lift?
Sagging breasts may be a natural part of the aging process, but that doesn’t mean you have to resign yourself to them forever. Instead, you can remedy breast sagging with the help of a breast lift. In order to make sure your lifted breasts have proportionate areolae, you may need to get an areola reduction as part of the surgery.
To reduce areolae that are much larger than normal, an incision is made around the border of the areola. A donut-shaped section of tissue will then be removed. A permanent internal suture may be used to secure the new size of the areola, avoiding future stretching.
If you want to get perkier breasts and smaller areolae, contact our office and set up an appointment. Double-board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Rikesh Parikh will speak with you about the procedure in greater detail so you can make an informed decision.
