Chin and Jawline Liposuction Bellevue
The double chin is a very common issue with men and women. Fat under the chin can increase with weight gain or age. But most of the time it is a familial trait and does not improve with weight loss or exercise. A slimmer submental area and jawline can improve the facial profile.
Chin and Jawline Liposuction Technique
The procedure can be performed awake under local anesthesia called tumescence or asleep under general anesthesia. After tumescence fluid is placed and the area is numb a liposuction cannula is used to remove the fat from under the chin and along the jawline area.
Most patients are good candidates for chin and jawline liposuction. This is an in office procedure that is relatively quick. Avoidance of blood thinners is recommended and a prior consultation to determine your goals and expectations. It is a same day procedure and can be done in patients with relatively good health.
Postoperative Recovery after Lip Reduction
This is a same day procedure. A chin strap has been worn for 2 weeks to assist with swelling and skin recoil. Swelling and bruising are normal. Patients may return to work within a few days.
