Renuvion® Liposuction

Conveniently located to serve Seattle and Bellevue

The subdermal approach is usually combined with liposuction techniques to tighten the skin after loss of fat after liposuction. This can help prevent excess loose skin after removal of fat by liposuction.

Reviews

I had the renuvion procedure by Dr Parikh. It has been the ONLY procedure that has made a visible (and textural) difference in my arms. If any of the radiofrequency procedures that I tried did anything, you certainly couldn’t see it and was, therefore, a waste of money.
And while I hesitate to say how impressed I have been with Dr Parikh and his staff (because I am ALWAYS skeptical of reviews which lavish praise on a doctor or a doctor’s medical practice), I can’t help but add that he is amazing at what he does. And, more importantly, he sincerely cares about his patients.

Procedure

The procedure is performed as an outpatient by the following ways by Dr. Parikh;

  • Local Anesthesia with nerve blocks and oral sedation
  • Local Anesthesia with IV sedation
  • General Anesthesia

Regardless of the type of anesthesia the patient can go home the same day.

  • What is it?

    Helium based Plasma is the 4th stage of matter. JPLASMA Renuvion specifically is a device that is used to apply that energy. In the case of Subdermal or “beneath the skin” application, the energy delivered by the device to the dermis of the skin stimulates collagen remodeling and synthesis which result in tightening of the skin.
  • How is Subdermal Skin Tightening Performed?

    The procedure can be performed awake or asleep. It used in combination with liposuction most of the time. However, lt can also be performed by itself in cases where only skin tightening is required. The device is placed through existing incisions from liposuction and passed underneath the skin to apply the energy to the dermis. Plastic Surgeon Parikh R. MD FACS was the first surgeon to perform a case of JPLASMA Renuvion in the Northwest United States and remains a Consultant, Trainer and Key Opinion Leader for the Northwest U.S.
  • What areas of the Body can it be used?

    Almost every area of the body can be treated. These sites are similar to those of liposuction these include;

    • Neck
    • Arms
    • Tummy
    • Back
    • Hips
    • Thighs
  • How fast will I see Results?

    Results of skin tightening be seen almost immediately. Over the next few months there should be a gradual improvement. The benefits of liposuction will also be apparent if liposuction was performed at the same time.
  • How does PLASMALIPO differ from LASER Liposuction?

    Laser Lipo and Plasma Lipo share the same concept with the principle of stimulating the collagen of the dermis with an energy source. Both devices are performed for skin tightening.
  • What is the Downtime or Recovery?

    The downtime of PLASMALIPO as performed by DR. Parikh is the same as for liposuction to that area if performed simultaneously. A garment is worn for 4-6 weeks. The skin tightening procedure itself does not have any extra downtime.
  • Who is an Ideal Candidate for the Procedure?

    An ideal candidate is one that has some mild to moderate amount of fat and mild to moderate loss of skin elasticity. Those who have a significant amount of excess skin will likely not benefit by this technique. In these cases a surgical approach may be the best option
  • How is it better than Standard Traditional Liposuction?

    Liposuction with Subdermal skin tightening by Plasma is a form of assisted liposuction meaning its liposuction PLUS energy. Standard traditional liposuction does not involve application of this device. The Plasma device augments liposuction by adding a better skin tightening element to the overall results.
