Case #3694 - Breast Correction

Ethnicity: Caucasian
Technique: Explant Implants + Capsulorrhaphy + Replacement Implants + Liposuction Axilla and Chest
Surgeon Comment: 52 year old female who had previous 300cc breast implants placed 15 years ago under the muscle. The implants have moved towards the armpit or axillary area over time. This is called implant displacement or malposition. She desired to exchange them with a larger size and move them out of the armpit region. Loose skin and fat is also seen underneath the armpit region. The old inframammary incision was used to enter the pocket and the old implants were replaced with high profile 550cc round silicone implants. The side wall of the previous capsule was tightened to correct displacement of the implants. Liposuction was also performed in the armpit area and side of the upper chest. She is seen here with more upper pole fullness and better contour of the side of the breast and chest area. The loose skin seen before liposuction and contouring has contracted down and is now gone.
