A buried penis is an uncommon condition where the penis is tucked in and exposed typically above the surface. Pushing back on the mons area may allow the penis to be exposed. The penis is usually normal size and has normal function.
Buried penis is not to be confused with micropenis which is a condition that affects 0.6% of men where the penis is congenitally less then 3.67 inches in an adult male under stretch of the penis.
A Buried penis can result in emotional and psychological distress for men. The condition can be congenital meaning from birth or acquired.
Acquired Cause:
- Obesity (large BMI)

- Circumcision
- Hydradenitis

The tissue surrounding the penis is reduced by liposuction technique
Penile Lengthening Ligament Release
The suspensory ligament is releases to achieve more length
Fat Transfer to Penis
Fat is taken from elsewhere on the body and injected around the base of the penis
Tummy Tuck
The abdominal pannus is removed to debulk the area
Mons Lift Monsplasty
A incision is made over the mons area and the tissue around the penis is debulked and the mons is lifted upwards.
