Surgeon Comment: This patient had a previous VY advancement of the lip and had notching in the midline of the upper lip from scarring. This area was filled in with hyaluronic acid filler. The notching has been filled in and no longer noticable. There also has been an increase in fullness of the upper and lower lips. Fillers can be used to fill in defects that cause asymmetry or at times can be efffective in scarred areas.
